[Resolved] How to change default RSS feed title?

  • Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can change RSS feed name of my blog?
As it show my blog’s title: Tricky Techs | Tricky Techs, while it should show only Tricky Techs.

You can check my feed URL: http://www.trickytechs.com/feed

I don’t have much knowledge upon PHP, so please help me.

    Thanks.
    -Akash.

  • I would recommend using the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast. It lets you alter titles and meta descriptions pretty easily and will likely fix this title problem you’re having.

What? Is there any option like that? If yes, then please guide me with it, as I already have it but don’t know how to change the title.

And I have linked the sitemap to Feedburner (and feedly) and peoples see Tricky Techs | Tricky Techs title there, that is my main problem. As I want to show only its name, not doubled title.

By the way, thanks for your reply.

Hi Andy, I again checked all options in it, but could not found any way to change the title. So, if you know, then please reply with the steps.

    Thanks!

In that case the duplication might actually be happening because of wp SEO lol. Try playing with the force rewrite titles checkbox and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your support Andy. I have fixed it by forcing its title to keep Tricky Techs. Also I was have the problem from always, even when I was not using WP SEO by Yoast.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,
I would like to see if i can get some help with this. I have a double title in my feed as well. It reads “HibiscusByTheBay.comHibiscusByTheBay.com”

    My Feed link is:
    http://www.hibiscusbythebay.com/feed/

And the feedburner link for it here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/HibiscusByTheBay

I am running the Yoast WordPress SEO. Last month the feed title was fine. So something has changed it recently. I only noticed because I send out a feed driven newsletter once per month and it has the double title in content of the email and in the subject line.

Can I get some trouble shooting advice or is this likely the plugin doing this?

Also I have checked the box in Yoast for “Force rewrite titles”. If I uncheck how do I refresh the feed to see if any changes have occurred. Does WP automatically refresh it?

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi,
I have same problem like cowboy Mike and Akash. My feed title like this “Naziman Azlye 2.0 | Naziman Azlye 2.0”

    My feed link is :
    http://naziman.com/feed/

    My feedburner link is :
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/NazimanFeed

Like cowboy Mike, i have checked the box in WordPress SEO “Force rewrite title”.

I have check it page source, no “Naziman Azlye 2.0 | Naziman Azlye 2.0” found.

I don’t know the problem but i try to change the feed title to something else. Can somebody give some advice?

    Regards,
