    I want to brand the blogs created by my members on my multisite.

    How or where do I change the default text "Just another wordpress site" to something else like "A Pro Site by domain.com" for all new blogs?

  2. Hi @ebiznet,

    You can change the default text "Just another wordpress site" from the following path in the admin area of your blog.

    Admin area -> Settings -> General -> Tagline

    For more information visit the following pages.

    Thank you for your reply, but that is not the solution I was looking for as it pertains only to individual blogs.

    I am asking for the change to be made as a network admin of the MU site, where EVERY blog created will have the same tagline changed from the default text.

    In the multi-user admin screen, there is no Settings -> General option. There is only Settings -> Network Settings which has no option to change the tagline sitewide.

    Do you know how this can be done?

  4. Hi @ebiznet,

    To achieve this, add following small code in the functions.php file of your child theme or add it in your site using the following plugin.

    function set_default_tagline($blog_id){
    	update_option( 'blogdescription', 'A Pro Site by domain.com' );
    add_action('wpmu_new_blog', 'set_default_tagline' );

    Hi @Ipstenu

    Thank you for the link. I used it and it works well. Just what I needed, thanks! :)

    Apart from changing the tagline, I was able to set the defaults for quite a few other settings too, so its a really useful plugin to me.

    @WPMU DEV, thank you for your information too. I will check it out.
