How to Center Image Header

  • Hello,

    I’m having trouble with getting my header image to be centered when it is viewed on some browsers. http://www.eyesopenreport.com When I go into my Index.php and center the header it takes the texts in the posts and my side bars with it when I view my site on internet explorer.

    $image = “http://eyesopenreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/bannerbor.jpg”;
    $width = 956;
    $height = 118;
    echo ‘<img src=”‘.$image.'” style=width:’ . $width . ‘px;height:’ . $height . ‘px;”>’;

    <small class=”tagline”><?php bloginfo(‘description’); ?></small>

    Why is the post and side bars centering with my header when I view the page through Internet Explorer?

  • Made changes in css.

    used advice from here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/center-header-image-5?replies=5

    It seems to only be different when I view my site from the laptop I own. Everything perfect on browsers I have on my desktop.

    Could it be that the browsers im using are out of date?

    I’m not sure I understand what you mean. When I view your site on IE, Firefox, and Chrome, they all looks the same. The header image is centered, with the sidebar and the main content under it. The tagline seems to extend out to the left on all three browsers, and the navigation menu extends out to the right.

    Ah, OK, you must have changed it just before I looked at it.

    I meant to say, everything is fine when I view on my desktop.Not laptop.

    Why is it different when im viewing from laptop. A friend of my has a laptop and it is not centered on his browser.

    Whats the issue?

    I’m looking at it on my laptop and it looks fine.
