How to Center Header – Please help!

  • Gothamista

    The header and tagline on my site are skewed to the left instead of centered. Could someone let me know how to change the code so that these are centered? I would appreciate your help so much!! The site is gothamista.com . The theme is Glitter and Lace by Genesis.

  • Could you give us a link to your website or Pastebin.com of your HTML for a page with the problem?

    Also please wrap your code in the (code) button above the forum post textbox.

    In this section:

    float: left;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 34px 0 0;
    width: 500px;

    Remove float:left; and add in margin:auto;

    I think it worked! The header still shows off center when I look at my site from Dashboard but when I open it through Safari its now centered. Thanks so much!

    Another question–my theme only comes with 1 sidebar (its a Child Genesis theme) but I want two sidebars so that I can have Sidebar-Content-Sidebar. Is there any way to add another sidebar?
