How To Cancel Theme/WordPress Updates

    I had made some changes to my Theme’s code in the Editor section.

    When I checked my website at a future date, all the changes had disappeared, and the code was gone.

    I am certain that either my Theme or my WordPress auto-updated, and went back to the original code.

    I can’t have my code erased every single time there is an update.

    How do I cancel auto-updates? Also, what is the easiest and quickest way to constantly backup my code?
