How to Call a PHP Function

    I am creating a WordPress theme with an options panel. How can I call the PHP function to allow the options to control what I want them to? For example, I have some social buttons in the footer. In the options, I would like it to be able to disable and enable the buttons. The checkmark is there but I do not know what code in put into the footer.
