I would start with publishing quality unique content regularly. That’s your foundation.

From what I can tell, you only have nine articles posted in the last 18 months. That’s not nearly enough.

Thanks Gabe…I will keep posting. Is that all I need to do? Is there a way to publicize the posts beyond that?

There are a million ways to gain traffic, Gabe has the most important of them all: good content.

Google it. Also note that you do not need to pay anyone to gain traffic. Don’t get sucked into any scams.

If you have time, publish daily. Some new bloggers publish 2-3 articles a day!

In addition, what you can also do is visit other sites in your niche and leave comments. Dofollow sites are preferable. You can contribute as a guest writer for those sites as well.

Also, check out some RSS Feed plugins. This will allow you to post information on the topic of your site while you sleep! But the best content is yours – that’s what readers are looking for.

That’s great, I was under the impression that if you add too many post Google will jump on you. So instead of every month I am going to 2-3 times a week, or do you think I should do more. Thanks John

Do at least once a week. if you can do every day, that’s insane but can help 🙂

Set a goal and post as many as you can without driving yourself mad. Definitely don’t wait just for the sake of waiting.

So if 2-3 a week fits into your schedule without diluting the quality of your content, then stick with that.

Thanks guys! This really helps a lot! I think I will do three posts a week and see how it goes from there.

I’m up to 50 – 100 views a day, so this must be working. I’m trying to write content at least once a week.

That’s great! Good work! You should really look into Google Analytics. It will help you target your audience (but you may still have to grow it) and learn more about your readers.

    Good luck!

Congrats! Keep it up. There’s no magic to it. Write content, participate in your niche, write more content. That’s all you really need to do for the first few months.

@simsonic, your blog seems established now, from your last post on this thread, it seems that the hard work you have been putting on your blog has finally started to work.

About your posting frequency, one post a week is way too low, for getting more traffic and making a bigger blog, you need to post daily. Also, would suggest you to accept guest posts, make a guest post page on your blog.. that way, when you won’t be able to write much, you can accept some guest posts to keep the posting regular.

Apart from that, here are a few other suggestions:

    1) Get a logo, a brandable logo helps to build an audience base for your blog, that way you will build regular readers,

    2) Let users comment without logging in, if you are worried about spam, use akismet and bad-behavior plugins,

    3) Use feedburner for feeds.

    4) Get some social voting buttons on the blog posts, that way you will gain more facebook shares and tweets etc.

overall you did good progress, keep it up,
    cheers,

I think social media is best option for you. share it on FB, Twitter, Digg etc.
Content should be updated regularly & it must be fresh and unique.

    Go ahead, Good luck 😛
