Support » Requests and Feedback » How to become a whitelisted oEmbed Provider

  • So our company [ redundant link removed ] is a video hosting provider (like Vimeo or even YouTube).

I can see in this article (https://wordpress.org/support/article/embeds/) it lists about 30 or so companies that are “whitelisted” providers by WordPress for oEmbed.

Is there a process to submit our business to be added to this official list?

    No, there is not.

Getting a native built into WordPress is not a matter of asking. It’s a matter of the core developers seeing that there is a demand or large audience for that and then they make the decision to get that site added.

I am not familiar (as in I never heard of it but that’s OK) with your service but if you want user’s to be able to embed your site’s content then please consider adding submitting a plugin to add that support for WordPress users to the WordPress plugin repo.
