Support » Plugin: UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup & Migration Plugin » How To Backup in FTP in designated folder

I am able to successfully connect my FTP with the plugin but would like to have the backup files saved in a directory called “backup”.

I have the “backup” (www/httpdocs/wp-content/backup) directory created in the server with 777 permission(for testing purposes).

In the remote path field, I entered: “/backup”
The Server Connection Test is a success.

Upon saving, nothing happens to my “backup” directory but the default “updraft” (www/httpdocs/wp-content/updraft) directory log updates AND the backup files are saved in the Root or www/ of the server.

How can I move the backupfiles to the designated “backup” folder i created?

    Please help this poor soul.

    Hi,

Please can you run a new backup and send us a copy of the backup log? The log can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab. The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle

    Hello,
    How terribly embarrassing of me.
It seems like I just failed to save the settings.

The plugin is working as expected.

    My apologies.
