    Hi
We are currrently setting up a new website and would love to use GTranslate. I tested it for a few days already, but I am not able to find out, how I can avoid the translation of a single item in a custom menu?

    Anyone who can help?

    Hi,

You will need to add notranslate class to the menu item.

    How to skip translations?

    Thanks! 🙂

I don’t see how to do this. I only want to avoid the translation of ONE menu item (one link), not the whole menu.

We’re using the free version of the plugin and don’t have an account to access a Dashboard for further settings.

As I have mentioned you will need to add notranslate class to that specific menu item. You should be able to do it from Appearance -> Menus, select the menu item you want to skip and add notranslate in CSS Classes section. Make sure CSS Classes are enabled in Screen Options on the top right corner.

    Thanks! 🙂

Oh dear, I was stupid…. even though I did not mention it explicitly, you realized my problem: I hadn’t CSS Classes enabled on that site. I wasn’t even aware that it’s available ….

Thank you for the eye-opener! Of course it works like expected now!!
