Wordpress seems awesome for general websites, though for high volume sites, like those pushing 100k visitors and 20gb a day transfer… not so much.
That said, has anyone run into a solution where a website, let’s call it abc.com can be set up to auto-generate content based on a wordpress back-end, that is not available to the public?
The site in question would allow commenting but the commenting would be be pushed off to the backend, and the actual static website pages would auto generate the page at abc.com from the back-end copy, let’s say every 15 minutes or so.
Anyone else have this same idea or come up with a strategy to make the PHP side of WP totally outside public access for anything other than the posting engine?
