    Hello,

    I need to import product from a live website: http://royallighting.com

    Kindly drill down this way from menu:

    Product->Ceiling lights->chandelier->Large Chandeliers

    Now you will see a list of 24 products per page, clicking on each product will show the details including: description, production details, images

    What I need to do is to import those products, along with each product’s detail.

    Can anyone shed me any light what is the best way to do this in a shortest time?

    Thank you very much.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Do you own/manage that site?

    No I don’t, but my client is the dealer of that site, she is authorized.

    Then I advise you to ask her for an export from the backend (WooCommerce > Products > Export).

    Thanks.

    1. The source site is NOT built with WordPress;

    2. Most clients know nothing about techniques, including this client;

    Then you will need to hire a programmer that can scrape the data for you. Or do it manually.

    This is an example of the data to be interpreted: https://pastebin.com/LcTieKYy

    Your best bet is the backend of the used eCommerce software. Or maybe there is some kind of google feed on the site that you can use?

    Hey @mdivk

    As @josk79 indicates, someone with knowledge of the platform the site runs on would be best.

    We can help out from the WooCommerce side, but can’t offer advice on a site which isn’t WooCommerce.

    If the content can be exported as a CSV file, then that is your quickest option, and you can use the WooCommerce core Importer – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/

    Let me know how you get on!

    Thanks,

    Thanks for replying.

    @josk79: I see you pulled out some sample data from the live website, can you elaborate more about the data’s format:
    24<^^>4<^^>180<^^>1<^^>70<^^>xxx<^^>

    Is it possible for you to put only one product’s raw data into a csv file that I can use importer to import into the new woocommerce website?

    @dougaitken: can the standard importer import extra/customized fields? What do I need to do in order to show those extra/customized fields?

    Thank you guys for the kind help.

    Hi mdivk,

    I don’t know what format it is. And no, I’m not going to do that for you.

    regards,

    Thanks @josk79, then can you tell me how did you generate the data in your post?

    Hmmm, I opened a page from royallighting.com, and then pasted your link, it shows 500 error, can you reproduce the procedure?

    Thanks.

    Please, export using the backend of that store, hire a developer or enter the data manually. I don’t think you’re getting any further otherwise.

    Hi @mdivk

    I’m going to mark this thread as resolved now. @josk79 and I have given you the advice to get started.

    For more documentation about getting started with WooCommerce, please see the help pages – https://docs.woocommerce.com/documentation/plugins/woocommerce/getting-started/ – we cannot help with other platforms.

    Thanks
