How to assign backend users to specific categories on custom post type

    Hi guys!

    Hopefully someone can help me on this.
    I am looking for a plugin to allow me to assign certain users in the admin area to only create/edit posts for a specific category in a custom post type.

    So, let’s say I have ‘user1’ and I only want him to be able to create posts for categories ‘finance’ and ‘news’.

    I found a plugin called “Restrict Categories” which does this perfectly, but only works under the standard post type, not under a custom post type.

    Any ideas?

    Well, in case anyone is looking for this functionality, look no further. You can actual use this great plugin and just modify a few lines of code to have it working with Custom Post Types.
