Support » Plugin: Google Fonts Typography » How to apply fonts to actual pages in edit mode

I see the effect of applying the fonts when we are in the Customizer. But how can we have the same fonts applied when we are editing an actual page? At the moment, this is not happening. Gutenberg is applying its own font types in edit mode for pages.

Please tell me there is a way?

    Hi Klewis,

Could you please provide a link to a page/post where Gutenberg is overwriting the fonts set by our plugin?

    Thanks

I can’t because its on a page, in edit mode, within wp-admin. I want my page that I’m edditing to reflect the Google fonts Im associating to the front end. does that make sense?

    Hi @blackawxs,

That makes sense, the fonts are working on the front end but you aren’t able to preview them in Gutenberg. Is that right?

Correct, I was hoping that through this plugin, it would be a “global effect” in applying the google fonts, not just in the front-end.

By having the fonts applied on our Gutenberg pages, we come that much closer to having the “same feel” on our pages for both the back-end and front-end.

    Hi @blackawxs,

I’ve looked into this and the fonts should already be working in Gutenberg. Could you let me know which theme you are using so I can perform some tests?

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for looking into this. I’m testing against Twenty Twenty, and the title block does not adjust to our Google Font’s choice. It appears that the paragraph block do convert apply correctly.

If you test this scenario, are you experiencing the same results?

Is it the title at the top or headings within the post? Or both?
