  • Hi Amir,

All of the sidebar menu items (categories, sub-cats, tags, custom fields) can be sorted in the settings options.

Navigate to the settings tab that you wish to modify, such as categories, and then click and drag on the category name to reposition it. Refresh your catalogue to view changes – they should rearrange immediately.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi,

That will change the categories order in the grid but the side bar remains un sorted…
Is it a problem i have with my version or this is the way it is?

You tried this with categories? The drag and drop should be working with version 3.4.1 of the catalogue.

Does the sidebar sort if you try rearranging with sub-categories, tags, or custom fields?

After drop and drug my grid is sorted but my side bar remains unsorted.

I have version 3.2.1 with custom CSS so i prefer not to update right now.
Should it work with my version as well?

There was a re-ordering bug that was fixed with 3.3.1 so this is likely the same problem.
There have been quite a few changes since 3.2.1 – it should be safe to update as far as 3.3.4 and if you update to 3.4 you may want to wait, since we will be releasing another CSS update soon.
Just remember to keep a backup in case you want to revert the changes.

Will i loose my custom css if i will upgrade? Is so,can you instruct me how to save my custom css content?

An update will not affect your custom CSS if you have added it using the catalogue settings. If you have modified the .css files that the plugin uses, then yes these will be overwritten.

Either way, as a backup it would be advised to save a copy locally of what you have so far.

I took your advice and upgraded to he last version.
    1. Unfortunately, Sort issue is still un resolved
    2. My sub categories are not indent but in the same level as the categories. why is that?
3.How can i make the grid to have 3 products in width?

    Thanks:)
    Amir

    1. We will look into this. For now, which theme do you have installed on your site ? Are there any other plugins ? Could you provide us a link ?

    2. This is a problem with the newer checkbox styling (There are new options now). There will be a quick fix coming soon, for now you might want to disable the hierarchical sub-categories if your site is live.

    3. The product grid will fit to the width of the page container. You may adjust the width with custom CSS – select your catalogue in the settings dashboard and input CSS rules into the textbox. Alternatively, you could increase the width of the container on the page in your theme settings.

    Hi,

    1. I have the superstore theme installed. I have other plugins installed but only one catalog plug in. See the below link

    2. To solve the indent issue i’m using a style css from an older version

Side bar categories sorting is extremely important. appreciate you support on that.

    Thanks!!

    Hi there,

I am having the exact same problem as amirmalka12. I have sorted the categories alphabetically within the relevant settings page, and they display properly in the products list, but not in the sidebar.

Can you please provide an update as to this situation? Thanks in advance.

    Hi abel,

Can you try dragging and dropping one of the categories in the “Categories” tab? One of them needs to be moved in order to set the order, so that the sidebar isn’t re-arranged everytime someone is looking through their categories.

    Hi Rustaurius,

Wow, I’m almost positive I tried this already, but apparently not, because it’s working fine now. Sorry about that, and thanks for the very quick response and great plugin!

    Cheers =)
