Support » Theme: ColorMag » How to add WP RSS Feed to ColorMag Theme

  • Bare with me because I’m such an amateur at this. I want to add WP RSS feed to this theme from different sources such as indiewire, screendaily, filmmaker magazine, Hollywood Reporter, etc. I want to have at least 6 different aggregators showing up on the main page so people can click directly on the links ( it should at least 5 articles from each website) . Is this possible and how would I do this?

I added the WP RSS aggregator plugging but from there I have no idea what to do.

    Thank you so much!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello!
I’m not on the theme team support, but I tried this in one of my sites and it was quite simple, if you don’t want to style it:
if it is in the side bar you simply add the rss widget. You do have to have the right address of the feed (don’t remember exactly how to get it, but it is in the code for the page).
if it is in a post or page, you can use the rss block.
For a colormag homepage you can add the widget in the many different parts of the page.
The result is not very beautiful, only the tittle of each article, but they are clickable

    good luck!

    Hi @ceaguila84,

    We appreciate you writing in,

There are few ways by which you can add the RSS feed to your site. If you are willing to add it to a page then you can simply go to “Page” and edit it. When the editor opens, search for RSS block and add it. Similarly, you can also add it through a widget. For this, go to Appearance> Widgets and drag and drop RSS to a sidebar that you want.

Please check the screenshots below for references:
