How to add tables?

    hi

    I am using WP 2.6.2. I have the normal editor which comes with WP. I am reasonably ok with it as I don’t do anything fancy.

    I just need to be able to add tables, add background colors to rows/columns/cells. How can I do that? Is there any plugin? Or do I need to use Tinymce editor?
