you can select what to show hide in Settings > Formatting > Search Form
Yes, you are right that we can manage what to show and what to hide in a search bar using the path you gave above.
But my concern is that how can I add states in the dropdown of ‘states’ field of events search form.
Similarly, how can I add coutries in countries field of form.
Please reply accordingly or let me know if you still didn’t get what I tried to explain.

Well if that is it ” what i understood, the state and country list automatically populated from your event and or location list
when you add a new event, and fills up the state, country etc they itself shows up in the search form .

Yes, That’s what I had also thought and thus created a location filling up the name of states, countries etc. but didn’t got the output as expected i.e. didn’t get the state name and country name in the search form’s state and country fields.
Are you very sure that the dropdowns of states, countries and cities populates automatically as we create any location.
Is it mandatory that if we have created a new location, then we need to use that location as well into an event to let it show in the dropdowns of state and country of search form ?

1) I am pretty sure, and as a cross check i just created a location , with State and Country name filled (Bottom of Add location page).
Now when you goes to search form front end, select a country , and the city and state field will load accordingly, letting you select one of them available.
2)Once a location is created with Country and state name filled they will be visible on the dropdown without having them link to any event.
If you are still having doubt, i can work over ur wp install and fix it.

Yes, you are right.
I was having country name listed under country dropdown, but when i was looking into states and town’s dropdown, I wasn’t getting the name of state i had created.
The mistake which I was making is that I didn’t selected the country name I had created from the dropdown and thus the corresponding states and towns were now loading.
Now, Issue has been resolved.
Once again, thanks for getting and resolving the mistake which i was making.
