I need help with how to add social media icons into a custom header that I designed in GIMP. This is the link to the site http://www.mca80dollarcommissions.com I would like the icons to appear under the “FOLLOW US” TEXT, and I need the icons to link to my social media sites. I know nothing about coding, css, or html. I’m also new to websites, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, can anyone recommend any a good place to learn about how to write this various code.

Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. First create a child theme for your changes.

I already have created the majority of my site. Do I have to start all over. You’ll have to excuse my ignorance, as I am brand new to all of this. Could you give me a step by step of what to do.
Do I start with a new blank theme, and then create a child theme. I read your link about child themes. How do I create and add the CSS to the child theme. Where do I create that? Sorry for all the questions.

The page at the link I posted above does answer all of these questions. Switching themes will not affect your site’s content. That is safely stored in your database.
