Hi Ihsansfd,
thanks for using MH TechMagazine.
How do I add search bar at the menu on my web?
That isn’t possible out of the box. You either would need to code this accordingly (if you’re familiar with coding) or try to find a plugin for that purpose.
As an alternative, the premium version of MH Magazine has a search bar in the header next to the news ticker or in the upper header bar. You can see this when having a look at the various theme demos.
Then, how do I adjust the menu with the margin?
If that’s what you want, then you could just disable the MH TechMagazine theme (child theme) and use MH Magazine lite (parent theme) instead which comes with a boxed layout by default. The MH Magazine lite theme is available for activation in your WordPress dashboard under Appearance => Themes.
One more question please: how to move Post Large widget to above the articles or under the nav on my homepage? I just trying to move it to Full Width widget area but it shows nothing. Then, what kind of widget area should I move? Or perhaps this feature only work for premium theme?
If you want a front page based on widgets, you need to create a static front page first and select the Homepage template for your static front page. This all is covered in the theme documentation.
After you’ve set the static front page correctly, you can start placing widgets into the Home widget areas. Home 1 is a full-width widget area right under the main navigation. An overview of widget areas is available in the documentation as well. The free theme includes widget areas Home 1 – Home 6 on the front page.
I have tried but there’s a problem. Is recent posts not included on your widgets selection? So how can I display recent posts that’s include post numbers too?
We’re not sure what you mean with post numbers, but actually the Recent Posts widget is a WordPress core widget which is part of any WordPress installation, no matter what WordPress theme you’re using.
In addition you can for example use the MH Custom Posts [lite] widget (or any of the other custom widgets) to display recent posts as it does that out of the box. The other custom widgets do that as well, so you have plenty of options.
By the way, if you have any other questions about the usage or configuration of the theme, please always open a new thread. Posting unrelated stuff in this thread can be very confusing for other people who are looking for help, thanks.
