Hello,

I’ve been trying to figure this out for over 24 hours now.
I am trying to add woocommerce product categories to the twenty seventeen front page content section.
The shop page works fine and list all the categories, but how do I get the shop product categories to display as a gallery in a section panel on the front page.
I am using Twenty seventeen child theme and WordPress 4.9.
So far I know the shop page uses archive.php template but I am at a bit of lost of how where to go from here.

Please Please any help is much appreciated.

You could use a WooCommerce shortcode to manually display the desired products/categories on a page of your choosing. For more information on how shortcodes work, have a look at the following: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/

If you’d like to use a shortcode via PHP, you’ll need to look into do_shortcode() which is better explained at https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/
