Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » How to add the parent category to the “Product Category” Taxonomy

  • Resolved Andrea87n

    Hello everybody,

I’ve been trying to add the parent category of a Product Category on my website.
    If you go here:
you can see that in the title there’s just “Mod. Certaldo”, which is the last category of the hierarchy. The thing is that this category has a parent one, which in this case is “Sandali Donna”.
I tried many different terms on Yoast in the “Product Category” field and I also tried to filter the title over some hooks like “single_cat_title” but nothing seems working.

Can someone please give me a hint?
    Thanks in Advance!

Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting an incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

We highly recommend checking out Code Poet for available freelance WordPress developers and [moderated] for development & consultancy.

@mazedulislamkhan, Thanks for helping out, but I just have to ask you to keep the freelance recommendations unbiased. Please just recommend or and do not recommend individual digital agencies.
