How to Add Multi seach boxes allowing users to find adds by tags

    Hello
    Been off WordPress for a while am looking to create a WordPress site to cover a selection of animal rescue shelters that allows users to search available animals by Breed, Location County, Sex etc. the results of which will link to advert posts on the site which will be tagged with the selectors
    There are similar search facilities on sites like Dogs Trust, Pets4Home and Pet Finder in the US.
    I know there is a plugin “Foster” that covers this but I’m not keen on the look of it I.e. too many options symbols etc. (perhaps this can be changed but I’m not sure how)

    Would very much appreciate some advice on my options I haven’t really selected a theme and I am willing to have a theme that covers these rather than trying to fit something that has to fit and existing theme.
