  • 1.Upload the logo image to your hosting server.
    2.Open style.css and search for the “#head .name a {” tag. Once found, add an attribute background:url(images/logo.png)
    3.Now enter into wordpress dashboard and switch off the priview of header text and tagline from theme option.

    I tried that abhishekpalit.. but it didn’t work. Am I dong this right? here is the code for the head section in the style.css sheet. thanks.

    /* #head */
    #head { background: url( ‘includes/images/bg-head.png’ ); height: 210px; margin: 0 0 3em; }
    #head .name a {background:url(images/header.png); display: block; font: 300%/1em Constantia, Palatino, Times, serif; color: #803020; padding: 1.5em 0; }
    #head .description { font: italic 200%/1em Constantia, Palatino, Times, serif; }

    got it thanks!!

    First let me know have you switched off the header text and tag line text to appear from theme option.
    In style.css you have not done right.

    1.Generally the theme images file is located under wp-content,(upload the logo in wp-content/images) so do not set “includes”.
    2.Create the logo image with a height and width that may match in header. Thereafter no need to further mention the height and width in CSS that you have already put. Just put background:url(images/logo.png).Nothing else.
    3.Find the existing “#head .name a{” tag from style.css and put the extra attribute background such as background:url(images/logo.png). Nothing else.
    Now it should definitely work. If still not, you can send me the CSS file at abhi.palit07@gmail.com
