    Nice plugin guys.

    I’ve managed to get the FB and Twitter apps created.
    Just what Google Services am I suppose to be choosing for this plugin? So many in there that it’s confusing. Once I know, hopefully I’ll then be able to locate the callback area.

    Any help would be wonderful.

    Hi Martin, you actually don’t need to enable any services. Once you create a project, go to “API Access” in the left navigation and you’ll get Client ID you need to enter into the settings page. Let me know if you still have questions.

    You guys really need to do some screenshot documentation.
    Thanks for clarifying the above which was missing.
    That said, there’s still other values and entry fields in the creating a client ID.

    So when trying to access SSI via Google, I get this error:

    Error: invalid_client
    Request Details
    response_type=token
    scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile
    redirect_uri=https://www.addthis.com/secure/ssi_callback?isNewGen=true
    state=http://www.africansinaustralia.com/
    client_id=ThisIsASecretSoNotTelling

    Any ideas? Love the concept. Still work to do.

    Sorry Martin for the difficulties. We’ll work on improving the documentation. For the Create Client ID screen, select the following:

    Application Type: Web application

    Your site or hostname:
    Select “more options” and enter the following values: https://www.addthis.com/secure/ssi_callback?isNewGen=false https://www.addthis.com/secure/ssi_callback?isNewGen=true

    Let me know if that doesn’t resolve the error you’re getting.

    And Authorized JavaScript Origins ?

    Leave the field ‘JavaScript origins’ as blank.

    And client id is not a secret one , you can disclose it to public with no risk.

    OK thanks @vipinss
    Have set the field ‘JavaScript origins’ as blank.
    Still get error. (and removed your registration as well)

    You have used ‘Client secret’ instead of ‘Client ID’.

    Copy the ‘Client ID’ from Google API Access page and paste it in your Worpress AddThis SSI settings page. Please have a try.

    Oh what a dummy I am – no idea how I messed that one up.
    OKies, all that worked except the login widget not having the form id which I need to fix. Google login did work once I clicked the ‘Login’ button so we’re getting somewhere.

    P.S You can understand some of the future support tickets you’re likely to get from dummies like me 🙂

    Note: You might want modify the instructions in the Google setup to.
    They do say ‘Copy the project’s “App ID/API key” and paste it into the field above.’ which is why I copied the API Key and not the Client ID.
