How to add footer menu in Generate Press

    I’ve searched high and low. I’ve tried YouTube tutorials. I’ve contacted the guy that created the Generate Press child theme and he insists it’s WordPress that is preventing me from creating a footer menu at the bottom of my site. Do you have a link to a tutorial that will help me conquer this mountain, please? I’m using a Generate Press child theme in conjunction with my LifterLMS courseware plugin. I’m thinking MAYBE it’s this man’s child theme that’s preventing me? Or I’m just a nummit trying to figure this out.
