How to add extra widgets to Responsive Theme
-
I’m looking to add two more extra widgets to my homepage. Using the code below I’ve managed to add two widgets which show on the homepage, but they don’t show in the CMS so I’m unable to edit them. what is it that I’ve missed?
test site – http://wp.intanexus.com/
I’ve created a child theme and added this to functions.php
[code moderated - please use the pastebin per forum rules]
I've also added this to sidebar-home.php

EmilSorry Emil but the way your forum is layed out for someone coming in cold its as clear as mud really needs to be organized better its as clear as mud
@ravalde not really sure what do you mean. If you need help you’re more than welcome to post a topic. Do note that I am providing daily dedicated support for FREE Themes, nobody does that 😉
P.S. This topic was already resolved.
Thanks,
EmilSorry just finding it a bit frustrating trying to find the answer to adding further widgets to the home page
its mentioned here but no link to instructions
I wanted to add another row of three.
http://themeid.com/forum/topic/1036/page-with-widgets-only/@ravalde adding widgets is actually not Theme related question. Widgets are supported by Theme(s) and they are manageable from WordPress itself. Forum isn’t that hard, but you will need to ask proper questions to get the correct answer. http://themeid.com/forum/post/2726/#p2726
Please note that Theme is free, support is free and everything around it, however nobody can predict what do you need if you don’t post a topic and ask a question 🙂

Emil thanks for the theme and the support. Some don’t realize that you have to know a little code to customize.
Wow Emil you have a bad attitude. If you are providing information for free, it sure feels stress and disrespectful!!
Never believe in PRICELESS!
@kiamona what makes you say that? If you take a look around you’ll see nothing but the great attitude 🙂 If I said anything which may offended you I apologize!
Hi there,
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I would also like to add more widgets to my sidebar. I downloaded a free wordpress theme and just assumed that there was unlimited widget space in the sidebar. Unfortunately, I can only add 4 widgets. The theme allows me to add more within the dashboard/widget section but they do not become visible after the 4th widget. It may have to do with the fact that the sidebar is fixed? So weird.
If someone could help me I would be sooo appreciative. Here is my URL: http://kidroom.net
Best. This is an old thread – so it’s not the best place to post. The best place to get help for Responsive theme is on Emil’s dedicated forums here: http://themeid.com/help/
Do you need a separate login username and password for this?
You’ll have to check – what I do know is that Emil offers free, top-notch and very generous support on his forums — and it’s the best place to get specific help with Responsive.
Emil does check these forums too, so you will likely get a reply here, but it won’t be as fast and Emil generally then also asks people to use his forums per http://wordpress.org/support/topic/please-read-before-posting-a-question?replies=1
