How to add extra security

  • Hello all,

I was wondering if there was any advice on how ta add extra security to my blog? Usually a good idae is to change the name of the standard administartion folder which in this case is wp-admin. Is there a good and easy way of doing this or willthis create huge problems.

I am going to add a htaccess/htpasswd file for the admin section which will add extra security but I was wondering if there were other options.

    Regards,

    Martin

  • Well adding a htaccess/htpasswd to the wp-admin section is no good seeing as the wp-login.php is in the root of the blog:-(.

I’ve tried this, but keep getting a page not found error. I posted about it a while ago.
