Support » Theme: Sydney » How to Add Drop Down Menu with additional Info on the Front page

  • If you look on my site, front page, scroll down past the slider you come to the services menu list, my question is pertaining to this section. “our services”
There is “Color Change”, “Ombre”, and “Artists, Designers, Event Planners” I would like to add a feature that allows each topic to be clicked on and then a window or section opens up (still on the front page) that provides more information, or provides some images. Is this possible? I know there is a way to add a link to be redirected to another page, but I would really prefer to provide more info while staying on the front page.

I also have another question about the Header, currently I have written the social media names that I want to include, how do I add the social media icons instead, or in place of the written names?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello there,

If I got it correctly, you’d like to have one page scrolling menu as it behaves on our “Services” and “Team” menus on our demo https://demo.athemes.com/sydney/. To achieve it, you can use Custom Links type of menu in the options in the left side of custom menu editing panel (Appearance > Menus). Enter #ID-Name to the URL box. This ID-Name must be matched with the ID name target presents in your homepage. You can get it with your web browser’s inspector tool. You can study it visually on this video tutorial (on 38th second):

For more easier option, you could use this plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-scroll-to-id/

I also have another question about the Header, currently I have written the social media names that I want to include, how do I add the social media icons instead, or in place of the written names?

The best possible solution for this might be Menu Social Icons. Or try the short tutorial I’ve written at this thread in our support channel.

    Regards,
    Kharis
