*Problem I want to add a custom product to the WooCommerce order which is not available on site.

*Problem Explanation: I am running a grocery business on a WordPress site. In my business product availability and stock update on a daily basis. customers make orders on the website and WhatsApp.

Problem is that when customers order on WhatsApp, I will convert it online but at least one product is left because it is not available on the website but I can provide it to the customer.

so how can I add a custom product to the user order, but I don’t want to save it on the website.

    Hi @ujjwalr10,

I’m thinking of a solution for this without using a plugin but I’m not sure you will be able to not save the product on your store.

You can create a blank product — let’s call it Custom Product and keep the description, product image, price empty. Whenever you get a request for a product not available on your store but that you can provide to the customer, select the Custom Product during your manual order creation. Once added, click on edit and update the product characteristics. This way you only have one saved Custom Product that you can manage and update each time differently depending on the product you have to sell.

    Hope this helps.

it is not suitable for me.

I don’t print metadata in customer invoices.

and I can’t change the product name in order.

if there is any way to edit the product name in order.

then this method will work for me.

    Hey there,

You can only change an item in order that is in “Pending payment” status. There’s no way to do that when the order is in “Completed” status. Customizations that require some custom coding go beyond the scope of support we are able to provide in this forum.

If you do require more help with the actual coding, we’d recommend hiring a developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Thanks.
