How to add custom attributes to social link URIs?

    Hi there,
    I tried adding information after the social link URI field to create a custom attribute, but it just turns all additional characters into nothing.

    Can anyone tell me how this can be done?

    Here is what I want to do with the link:

    <a href=”facebook.com/my-social-network-uri” data-event-category=”Simple Social Icons” data-event-action=”Click on Facebook Icon” data-event-label=”Facebook Icon Clicked”

    This is intended for use with Google Analytics’ new autotrack.js

    This would be really helpful – any advice you can offer.
