How to add author/by field on posts?

  • Just wondering how I would go about doing this. I’ve looked in all the options and can’t find anything about this. I just want all my (and other author’s posts) to have a “by” field so you can tell who’s posting. Thanks.

    How can I add this as a template anytime an author posts?

    Check out the index.php of the Classic theme to see where it is.

    but how do i add it to my theme?
    does it go in the ‘post’ template?
    where in the the template do i put it?

    I want it to say ‘by joe blow’ right under the title of the post and before the date…

    What is your theme? Default? – It depends where do you want it to appear:
    main page ==> index.php
    single post view ==> single.php
    monthly and category archive ==> archive.php

    Moshu,

    I think i got it! thanks for all the help!

    i’m posting another problem i have now
