Support » Fixing WordPress » How to add a Mobile header and Agency Child Theme

  • I’m trying to figure out how to add a mobile header to my Agency Child Theme. I know it can be done without using any plugins, but how? I have a separate image ready to go but don’t know where to put it… It would be nice to have a mobile header upload available like the regular header image upload. Please help me figure this out!
    There’s got to be an easier way to do this and it surprises me that there is little to no information about it anywhere…Mobile is everything, and to not have a simple way to upload a header seems overdue.

    That’s a theme issue – so you need to ask StudioPress about it:

    http://demo.studiopress.com/agency/

    Ok, I considered that but I assumed I would get better info asking the WP community…thanks anyway.

    I am having the same problem and i cannot get onto the studiopress website so can you find a reason why this wouldn’t work suddenly. No updates, just stopped working. Four different size Images are uploaded to public_html/art.
    The following is under: /public_html/wp-content/themes/agency/custom .css

    /* This style sheet contains custom css to override some theme and plugin styling */

    /* Mobile */
    @media only screen and (max-width: 960px) {
    #header {
    width: 720px;
    height: 130px;
    background-image: url(‘../art/mobile-header.png’) !important;
    background-position: center !important;
    }
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 720px) {
    #header {
    width: 720px;
    height: 130px;
    background-image: url(‘../art/VapElationHeader1720px.png’) !important;
    background-position: center !important;
    }
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {
    #header {
    width: 720px;
    height: 130px;
    background-image: url(‘../art/VapElationHeader1640px.png’) !important;
    background-position: center !important;
    }
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
    #header {
    width: 360px;
    height: 130px;
    background-image: url(‘../art/mobile-header.png’) !important;
    background-position: center !important;
    }
    }

    Mobile site url vapelation.com shows the PC header.

    According to the validator, your custom.css file isn’t being found:

    http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fvapelation.com%2F&profile=css3&usermedium=all&warning=1&vextwarning=&lang=en

    That file path looks problematic?
