How to add a Disclaimer on the Shop & Product pages?

    I would like to add a Disclaimer footer to my Shop page and products.

    There is supposed to be a Disclaimer option in Woocommerce>Settings>Products>Disclaimer

    But I don’t see any Disclaimer option or tab inside of the Products Settings

    Where can I find this to active it?

    Does it add the Disclaimer to the Shop’s main page as well?

    Does the default Disclaimer cover all products, or can you select what products you want the disclaimer to populate on?

    I believe you are looking for the Store Notice setting. You can find this via Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Store Notice, and this message will be enabled site-wide.

    Does the default Disclaimer cover all products, or can you select what products you want the disclaimer to populate on?

    This disclaimer text is displayed everywhere on the site, and there’s not a built-in way to display this on a per-product basis.

    There are some product category banner extensions available to integrate this, however. Here are a few I found that might be worth looking into:

    Hmm. I don’t think the regular Disclaimer is what I’m looking for then.

    I am being required to add an FDA disclosure to the bottom of my website, but I really only need it to populate on the Shop’s page and all product pages.

    Any ideas on how to accomplish what I need to do with a foot specific to the Shop & products within it?

    @johnnyscience there aren’t any features within WooCommerce that would do that.

    You could add something to your theme’s footer, however then it would appear on all pages for your site.

    You may want to check https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or do a Google search to check for some third-party existing plugins. Otherwise, you would need to custom code something.

    @johnnyscience – We actually released a little Affiliate disclosure plugin you could use as well if you want to add a disclosure on your products – https://wordpress.org/plugins/affiliate-disclosure-for-woocommerce/ – usually it’s best to have the disclosure/disclaimer near the buy button so it better adheres to the FTC guidelines (as opposed to the site footer).

    It doesn’t add the notice to the main shop page or category pages, but this is something I could easily add as an option to the plugin as well if users request it.
