how to add a 2nd text area widget

I want to add a second text area widget to my home page. So I commented out the existing booking form (from my theme that I did not want) and copied and pasted the code that was used for my existing text area widget. I thought by doing that and then going to “Appearance” > “Widgets” > and drag and drop a new “Text Area” widget that it would show up next to my existing one with the new information I added in. However, instead my original text widget content is showing up twice along with my new text area widget. How do I remove one instance of these and move them so they are all side by side (for example: Class Schedule | About Us | Our Services)?
