    1. How do I focus the text on seek? is at the top.

    2. How do I change the color of the hint text? I guess there is an opacity effect, but I want a color.

    3. I was unable to fill in the background of the magnifying glass icon. There are white areas and it looks like it comes out of the search bar. How to adapt the button and widen it?

    4. The search results submenu is away from the black border of the search bar. I wish the space between them would disappear.

    5. Why does it give me terms in the suggestion bar that I don’t have on the site?

    Hi,

    I believe most of the issues comes from the custom set search bar height. Try this custom CSS to correct that:

    div.asl_w,
    div.asl_w .probox,
    div.asl_w .probox input {
        height: 66px !important;
    }

    div.asl_w .probox div.proinput input.autocomplete {
        margin-top: -66px !important;
    }

    You can negate the bottom margin on the results with this:

    .asl_r {
        margin-top: -12px !important;
    }

    The search suggestions are coming from a free google service, unfortuantely it does not have a feature to restrict the suggestions to a specific site only.

    I’m afraid I’ll have to look for an alternative plugin. Too bad, I liked it.

    Sorry to hear that.

    I will mark this as resolved then.

    All the best,

    In truth, you should have control of the search bar; in the paid version. It doesn’t make much sense to have suggestions like Sean Connory on an online gaming site.

    You can change the source of the suggestions in the paid version of course, nobody said you can’t.
    The google suggestion source does not allow that, it is not possible via their API, no matter what I do. In Pro you can choose categories, tags etc.. as the suggestion sources to get around that – instead of using the google suggestion source.

    Ernest M.
