[resolved] how to adapt a template to indent category 'children' (3 posts)

    I've recently installed http://themes.wordpress.net/columns/2-columns/828/rounded-v2-blue-edition-10/

    I love it! with the one exception that I have heirarchical categories and the side-bar category list in this template 'flattens' them into a single list.

    How should I edit the template to respect the category hierarch - ideally to indent the child cateogries in the sidebar list?

    :-)

    Nice theme!
    What you are looking for is in SideBar.php in your theme directory. Look for the line that reads:
    <?php wp_list_cats(); ?>

    Change it to something like:
    <?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&optioncount=1&hierarchical=1'); ?>

    and see if you like the results.

    Don't for get that empty categories don't show even if the category below them has something in it.

    Hope that helps...

    Thank you Brian
    Ghyslain updated the theme with an icon for the child categories. Wonderful support from both of you :-)
