How to 1). set WordPress.com Stats to EST time zone; 2). display bar charts?

Hello;

I downloaded the WordPress.com Stats (Version 1.8.1) plugin and installed it on my site.

1). The WordPress.com Stats starts counting visitors for the next day a few hours before midnight.

Example: On May 22nd at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time I noticed that the stats chart had already started counting visitors for the next day (May 23rd).

Question: How can I set the WP Stats so that they are showing the Eastern Standard Time (Atlanta, GA) zone?

2). My WP blog is hosted on my own hosting. The WordPress.com Stats display as a line chart.

In the Global Dashboard on the WordPress web site the WordPress.com Stats appear as a bar chart.

Question: How can I get the stats on my own hosting dashboard to appear as a bar chart instead of the line chart?
