  • Do not edit the default theme. Having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. Create a child theme for your customisations. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

In the meantime, try reviewing Theme_Development.

The default theme is IMPOSSIBLE to edit. You’ll spend years banging your head against the wall and you’ll never come up with anything good.

There are millions of wonderful, easy to edit, free themes out there.
Pick any of them, but stay clear of that one!

There is another theme which looks like the default theme, it’s called Twenty Eleven 1.2 that one Sucks Biscuits also. STAY CLEAR of Twenty Eleven 1.2 – or you’ll be sorry.

Atahualpa 3.6.7, is easy to edit if you have no idea what you’re doing.
But there support asks that you make a donation if you want help.

But for the most part the rest of the world of WP Themes are pretty easy to edit.
