Hi @18tommyboy,
How set to old or new images optimize first?
I’m not sure whether I fully understand what you meant by old or new images. By default, Smush will only report images that require smushing if the images need ay further optimization.
If not, it won’t be recommending any further optimization. Could you please explain further what you meant by “optimize first”?
You should be able to run a Bulk Smush under Smush > Bulk Smush and it should optimize all your images.
If you want to revert any optimization done to the images, and re-run a new smush then you could use a plugin like the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and then re-run a new Bulk Smush to re-optimize the images.
Please do advise if I have missed out on anything. Have a nice day ahead.
Kind Regards,
Nithin
Hello, I mean like this:

Hi @18tommyboy,
I’m afraid there isn’t such a setting to optimize images in ascending or descending order in Smush.
Any specific reason on why you are looking to optimize images in ascending or descending order etc?
By default, the plugin will smush the images from the older images to the newly uploaded ones.
If you keep the “Automatic compression” enabled under Smush > Bulk Smush, it’ll ensure newly uploaded images are smushed automatically during upload:
https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smush/#automatic-compression
Other than that I’m afraid there isn’t any out of the box setting regarding this.
I hope the above helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Kind Regards,
Nithin
I using WP All import and have 50.000-150.000 images to Smush, so many days… And I need start with the newest images in WooCommerce store. Products are Ascending.
Okay, not have this option, but thank You.
