    Hello

I have been noticing for some time now that a bunch of my visitors are getting the
“/?subscribe=error” page, which as far as I know, means they could not subscribe to my JetPack email list…I have only over 200 subscribers and running the free version.
is there a limit to the number of subscribers? I have no idea why so many people exit my site on the same /?subscribe=error url…

There is no limit to the number of subscribers you can have on any Jetpack site, even if you don’t use one of the paid plans. You can have as many subscribers as you want!

This β€œ/?subscribe=error” page is displayed when the form can’t be submitted properly, when the reader doesn’t submit correct information in the form, or when the reader has already subscribed in the past.

If you think the subscription form might not be working properly on your site, could you post your site URL here so I can have a look?

    Hi Jeremy

    Thanks for your reply.

I can understand if I see this error every now and then but the odd thing is that a lot of users hit it and I’m wondering how all of them could be entering an invalid email.

I tried using the form on your site, and it seems to be working properly. I subscribed to your blog, and you can now see my email address in your subscriber list.

It’s worth noting that confirmation emails are only sent once, so if you previously attempted to subscribe but never clicked on the link in the confirmation email, you won’t receive a new email if you use the subscription form again today.

You can confirm your pending subscription here:
    http://subscribe.wordpress.com/

If you’d like, you can send me an email via this contact form and mention this thread, as well as a few examples of the email addresses that didn’t receive a confirmation email. I’ll be happy to take a look at our email logs to find out what happened.
