How long does it take a test to start collecting data?

    I’ve added my site and setup my first test, but it still says its waiting for data. How long will it be until I can see my results?

    Hey James,

    There’s two factors involved in getting data back from your seo tests:

    1 – The time it takes Google to index your updated page
    2 – The usual delay in Search Console – the data it provides is normally 2-3 days old

    If you have a popular, well linked to site then number 1 can be as quick as the same day, or perhaps as much as 3 days to a week for pages on a less popular site, or that are buried deep in your site structure.

    Once the changes are live Google will show the impact after another 2-3 days – so in total you might see results within 3 days for a popular, well linked to site, or as much as 7-10 days for a site that isn’t as loved by Google.
