After updating from 3.8.2 to 4.0.1 it seems to not localize anymore fonts.

I tried to clean cache (I use wp rocket and rocket cdn too), and also to delete and reinstall by zero the plugin, but I have not understood how it should work now.

Before, following this article I was able to localize fonts and then to comment out the wp_enqueue_style function, but after this upadate, I had to restore the wp_enqueue_style function becasue fonts are not stored locally. Even the dir /wp-content/uploads/omgf is empty.

Am I missing something?

Hi Flavio,

I’m terribly sorry. The latest release contained a few severe bugs which passed all my automated/manual tests and became apparent only on production environments (usually where cache plugins are active).

In the new version, you shouldn’t comment out the enqueue_style comments anymore, though. But I promise you that the new implementation of detecting/downloading Google Fonts is much faster. 🙂

Yes, it seems good, only a difference in the weight interpretation of a font, after updating the plugin, my lato font had to be modified from weight 300 to 600 to be more similar as it was before. But apart this, now it’s ok.

I’d like to debug that issue. Could you do something for me?

1. Empty OMGF’s cache directory,
2. Open a new tab and press F12 in that tab to open DevTools.
3. Open the ‘Network’ tab in Devtools.
4. Visit your site in that browser tab, het Network tab should populate with a list of requests.
5. That list should contain a request to OMGF’s Download API (search for download/css for example)

Please send the URL to me, so I can debug the issue.

Sorry, I should’ve specified what the OMGF Download API url looks like. It’ll look like this:

https://your-domain.com/wp-json/omgf/v1/download/css?a-bunch-of-parameters

This bug will be fixed in the next release. I just tested it and I retrieved all the fonts that are in the URL you mentioned.
