Excellent, I came across this post after trying to find a way of adding a CPT archive link without a plugin or a lot of extra code. Didn’t realise this option was available under View All.

where do i find this? -> “View All” tab of your custom post type
i can add posts of the custom post type. yes thats true. but can i also add the archive page of the cpt?? i think for this its neccessary to use this plugin.

ah, i found it. there you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5cjnx5w401rz616/Screenshot%202016-07-26%2014.49.35.png?dl=0
yes, this is indeed the same!

I believe I’ve finally found the difference. WordPress core doesn’t seem to add the normal current-menu-parent & current-menu-ancestor classes to post type archive pages by default, whereas this plugin will.
