How is Mod_rewrite/PHP/Legacy caching set now?

    Before upgrading, I want to double check how PHP caching is set, as our site requires it. Does “Simple” now cover PHP and Legacy caching and “Expert” is Mod?

    Simple caching is PHP caching.
    Expert caching is mod_rewrite.

    Legacy or WP-Cache caching is always active, and is served by PHP. If Export mode is enabled the mod_rewrite rules check if there’s a cookie for the logged in user or someone who left a comment or other conditions, and passes the request on to PHP to be served.
