newbie: I'm still evaluating blogging software to use in my site coolthaihouse.com. what I'm wondering is two things. 1.) if you want to integrate wp into an existing page to show say the first line from the 5 latest posts is this something easy to do? Is it just a matter of keying in some function calls to the page being modified? 2.) on the blogging site of the site if I want to have a blog but not have it be all that 'blog like looking' can it be modified fairly easily. Is it just a matter of doing the CSS layout differently? For example, one site I looked at which is definitely a blog (if you know blogging software), but doesn't look like a blog. All he has done is really break it up into 3 columns, categories, comments and then blogs. Would it be pretty easy to do something like this?

    1. Just an educated guess :) but probably this is the answer to your question: http://wiki.wordpress.org/wp_get_archives (see the limit argument)
    2. Yes, just a matter of CSS. If you look around you'll see tons of WP blogs integrated in the layout of other/formerly-existing pages.

See the related post at http://wordpress.org/support/3/13294 which shows an example of the get_posts being implemented to do this.
