    Hi,

I’m trying to configure the option about how the IP is obtained because I’m behind a proxy and after I press the save changes button with the X-Forwarded-For option selected I found that the value is not updated, it always shows the default option which btw is not working. Live traffic only shows my proxy IP address.

    Thanks

Near the bottom of the Wordfence Options page, try turning on “Disable config caching” and clicking the Save button — some sites have trouble saving other options when config caching is on (usually it is a file permissions issue, but not always).

After that is turned on, are you able to save the “How does Wordfence get IPs” option?

If it is a new site or moved from another site (or development server), you might also need to check the privileges of your database user, to make sure it has “all privileges” on all of the tables in your WordPress database.

Disabling the config cache did the trick.

Thanks a lot for you help it’s working fine now.
