Support » Plugin: Simple Membership » How does SWPM update membership account status?

  • Hello,

I wish to add a function to SWPM that sends a message to another plugin when a users account changes status (i.e. when a user account is created/expires or is reactivated).

In order to achieve this I have 3 questions:

    1. How does SWPM update a user status? It activates the statys after payment/registration, but does the plugin run a check daily to see which accounts are expired and then deactivates those accounts?

2, Where is the code (line/.php file) that governs activation of user account upon registration? And where is the code which checks and updates the status if the account is expired?

    2. Is there an action tag I can add an action to, or a .php file within the plugin, which is read when a user account changes status?
File name and line would be highly appreciated!

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

Code customization related questions are beyond the scope of the free support for this plugin. It’s impossible to answer everyone’s code customization related questions on a free basis. So unfortunately, I don’t have answer for all the questions you asked.

    1) Yes, there is a daily cronjob that checks and deactivates accounts.

    2) No. You can suggest the addition of an action or filter hook to the plugin by creating a pull request on the github repository of this plugin:

    Hello,

Thank you for the reply. Is it possible to merely tell the name of the file which does the daily cronjob?
