Support » Plugin: ManageWP Worker » How does my ManageWP account authenticate to the plugin?

To add a site to my ManageWP account all I had to do was install the plugin on my site and then add the URL in my account, no key, no credentials.

If I installed the plugin on a site and didn’t add the site to my account immediately is there nothing to stop someone else adding it to their account first?

    Hey there,

The Worker plugin automatically deactivates itself after 10 minutes to reduce the risk of someone accidentally adding your website to a different account.

We also created a fully automated way of adding a website to your ManageWP dashboard which entirely eliminates this scenario.

In both cases, you need administrator account access to your website to connect it to ManageWP dashboard since only administrator accounts can manage plugins.

If you choose automatic installations, you will have to enter your WordPress URL, and your admin account credentials (they are not saved in our system), so that the plugin can be installed and activated, after which the website is connected to your account.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Kind regards,
