Support » Plugin: MediaPress » How does Media Press work?

  • Hello, I want to download media press but between the description and plus reviews I am a little tossed as to whether or not the plug in will solve my problem.

I am looking for a plugin where a user can upload a photo and ANY other user can click the page “photos” for example, which will show a large album of user uploaded images.

    Does this plugin do that?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Thank you for asking. Yes, This is exactly the use case of MediaPress.

    1. A user can create/upload to media galleries
    2. Other users can see the galleries list(directory/archive) and clicking on gallery takes them to list of media(or shows using lightbox).

Please let me know if you need any further clarification.

    Thank you

    Hello,

That is perfect. I will be using the BuddyPress system with a further developed theme so will this leave a “photos” option on the users profile?

After uploaded, if any user clicks on the “Photos” page will it show the list of photos individually or will it show a list of albums?

Regardless if it shows photos and/or albums, is there an option at all to select what shows up such as most recent, most popular, etc?

    Thank you kindly.

    Hi,
I am sorry for the delayed reply.

    1. After upload, The list will show galleries at the moment.

    2. There is no way to know popularity, If you want to show that, Please use our free star rating for MediaPress plugin. With that you can show the popular media. The recent uploaded media is available by default.

    Hope that helps.
